What are the fish mounts made from?
- Standard throughout the taxidermy industry all of our fish are made from 100% fiberglass.
How much does a fish mount weigh?
- The weight of the fish will vary dependent on the size. Most fish will weigh between 1-4lbs. Bigger fish over 60" will weigh between 4-7lbs.
What is the best way to hang my fish mount?
- The best way to hang your fish mount is by using a drywall anchor if it is hung indoor. Since these fish are extremely light the smallest size will most likely do the trick. If you plan to hang it outside than you may need to tap a screw into the cement or if its going in a tiki hut than a wood screw will work fine. All fish have a built in hanger in the back to catch the screw so it stays in place.
Is it ok to hang my fish outside in the sun?
- Yes! It is perfectly fine to hang your fish mount outdoors or in the sun. The way they are designed allows them to resist natural weather and sun damage. The paint is finished with a high gloss clear coat that protects the paint underneath.
How do you measure the length of the fish mount?
- To measure the length of your fish mount you start at the mouth, jaw or bill and measure to the furthest tip of the tail.
